LATEST COVID-19 UPDATE

Upon latest advice from NSW Health, and in protecting the health and safety of our clients, staff and community, New Haven Farm Home have enforced visitor restrictions up to and including 11th September 2020.
Please see the below update from our Acting CEO.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD

On behalf of the Board of Directors of New Haven Farm Home can I please pass on our sincere thanks and gratitude to family and friends of our clients at New Haven Farm Home for your understanding and patience over the last few months as we face this ever-changing period of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was intended and hoped that 2020 was going to be an exciting year for the organisation, with a number of events being planned, not least of all the celebration of the significant 60th Anniversary of the organisation along with two family and friends days and the launch of a 60th Anniversary book kindly authored by Mrs Ann Hair.

Unfortunately, due to the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic which still continues, as our main priority is supporting everyone’s health and safety along with meeting government regulations and recommendations, a decision has had to be made to postpone these events. Please rest assured however that these events remain on the agenda and when we are able to do so, we will most certainly gather together to celebrate these things. As the current situation continues to evolve, we will continue to monitor and adjust our plans accordingly however, it is fully intended that Christmas celebrations will proceed, albeit in an alternative format to previous years.

Thank you again for your understanding and patience. New Haven Farm Home staff and Board look forward to seeing you all soon.

Warren Chalker
Chairman of the New Haven Farm Home Board of Directors

JULY – AUGUST 2020 UPDATES

Over the last few months we have celebrated many achievements of both clients and team members. Here is just a snapshot.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION

Upon receiving updated advice from NSW Health, we feel it is timely to update you on the measures we are taking here at New Haven Farm Home to ensure the safety and health of our clients and staff during the current Covid-19 situation.

FAREWELL OUR FRIEND

With sadness we said goodbye to Mr. Terrance Warburton, affectionately known as Warby after he passed away peacefully on the 24th June 2020.
Warby has called New Haven Farm Home his home since he was just 16 years old.

Celebrating his life, the New Haven Farm Home team gathered for lunch wearing Warby’s very favourite, fluro work wear, listening to the songs he loved to dance to at Zumba each week and sharing so many happy memories of our friend and client.

Warby loved nothing more than to work outside his home from sun up to sun down, made all the better with music playing from his radio and a cold coca-cola on his bench.
He loved breakfast. In fact, Warby could often be found joining in breakfast with his friends and every morning enjoyed a coffee and toast with the admin team.

Warby was always smiling, unless it was raining as this put a dampener on his work day, and always made everyone else smile with his charm and cheekiness.

We can share our happy stories of times with Warby forever, and he is missed. But we are honoured to have shared his life with him.

Our sincere condolences to Warby’s family and friends and thank you to all of the New Haven Farm Home team members who have supported Warby to live life his way for so many amazing years.
