Minister Bill Shorten has recently announced his retirement from Federal Politics. He has informed Prime Minister Albanese at a press conference that he will retire from his position as Minister for NDIS in February 2025. He intends to take on the role of Vice-Chancelor of the University of Canberra post retirement from federal politics.
Mr Shorten has stated “I will use every minute left in this job to secure the future of the scheme and ensure it continues to empower with choice and control and give Australians with disability the chance to fulfil their potential”.
